First there is a three-year-old, a kart, and Canada. Then France, where the family settles and everything speeds up: regional titles, national titles, and a mentor — Didier André, former IndyCar driver and Le Mans class winner — who teaches him to stay calm.

“Before, I was a bit messy in the races. He just helped me to stay calm and concentrate on the race in front of me.” Esteban Masson

The result: French F4 champion in his first full season, decided on the last lap. A hard year in Formula Regional, taken on the chin. Then the answer — Eurocup-3 champion. And finally the prototype revelation: in 2025, in his first LMP2 year, he is European Le Mans Series champion and misses victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans by fifteen minutes.

Toyota noticed. He is now part of their young-driver programme, with a goal he does not hide.

“They're preparing me for the next steps.”
